Holiday Weekends

How was everyone’s holiday weekend?  Health, fitness and sleep were my central theme of my weekend. This was the last leg of my burnout.

What I learned this weekend is that I don’t take care of myself in a few ways:

01 I don’t get enough sleep, I leave things to do until the end of the day and then stay up late finishing. Outcome: I sleep for 12 hours a day during a holiday weekend until I can’t sleep any more.

02 I say yes to doing things I don’t want to do. Outcome: I do 60% of my best or worse and I am angry the entire time I’m doing it. This isn’t fair to me or the person I said yes to.

03 I don’t let people know when I will be turning my phone off for a few days and not answering calls. Outcome: This leaves me stressed the majority of the time wondering who is trying to get a hold of me and what they need. I don’t rest as easily as I could have.

Where I have been on track for the entire weekend: eating clean meals and getting plenty of exercise.

Ground Rules Status Check Monday & Tuesday
• Schedule my workouts in my calendar and do them as intended — done
• Schedule time (at least 15 mintes) in my calendar to work on Eating 101 and do it — Did not do and will be changing this action to something that is a clearer action item (this one is coming off the list for a few days)
• Log my food & liquid intake — done
• Log workouts — done
• Post on this blog — Skipped a few days
