I am on day 5 of a 4o day (actually 42 days, but 40 sounds better) challenge. I’m on a mission to form new habits and achieve some long desired goals. I want a “new normal.”
For more info about what this challenge is and what it takes to create a “new normal” visit the Influence Ecology blog. You don’t need to know why I am doing this to follow along.
My challenge started this past Sunday June 2oth and will end August 1st.
By August 1st I will have:
• Lost 15 lbs
• Developed version 1.0 of Eating 101 – A new business venture
• Three “Eating 101″ subjects
Everyday I will:
• Schedule my workouts in my calendar and do them as intended
• Schedule time (at least 15 mintes) in my calendar to work on Eating 101 and do it
• Log my food & liquid intake
• Log workouts
• Post on this blog
What’s been happening the last 5 days of my challenge?
The last 5 days of this challenge I have been doing every single workout as my trainer assigned. In the past, I’d skip out on a set or change something and do an excersize that I’d “feel” like doing that day and my workouts have seemed long, tedious and like too much work. It’s much easier to just stick to the schedule, I think less and it goes by faster.
So far I have a tremendous amount of energy throughout the day and I haven’t had an ounce of coffee in two weeks.
As far as the Eating 101 program, I have created the first two steps and have sent them to two people interested in working with me.
This is a simple overview, go ahead and ask me any questions about any part of my challenge, or keep reading, I may answer them as I go along.
what you’re doing is inspiring and I am here to support you along the way.
question: what is Eating 101?
You go girl!
i want the recipe for the pineapple japaleno dressing!! Maybe you would list the recipies that you are really impressed with?
Jeff it’s modified from “Cooking Light” Magazine:
1/2 jalapeno
1/2 cup fresh pineapple
1 garlic clove
2 TBS fresh orange juice
4 tsp apple cider vinegar
About 2 TBS chopped cilantro
1/4 cup or less olive oil
Put all ingredients in a blender and once everything is blended, slowly add oilve oil. Let me know if you try it.
I am right here with you; I am on Day 10 myself and the gremlins have come and I am dispensing of them. Thanks for starting the blog. Your food looks so delicious. I have been following your pics on FB, too. Isn’t it amazing how beautiful healthy, fresh protein and veggies are on a plate! And they are soooo photogenic! The nutritional value does help us feel more energy and more balance physically. More later, I snuck in this little unscheduled visit.

Kathleen, thanks so much for visiting! The gremlins are everywhere, I will miss John’s posts but I feel like I have just enough momentum to go forward especially since I have some visitors.
I LOVE food made from fresh ingredients, and they are so photogenic that they look hot even from the camera phone!
